  1. Interesting to see about Dhaba eating place. As I live in UK I can not imagine that I need to go to a Dhaba for sandwiches. I lived almost all parts of India for my studies and work before I came to UK. What I really like is a typical ‘bengali meal’ as available in Taj Bengal Hotel. The sort of food you call ‘street food’ of Kolkata is North Indian Punjabi meal served with raw onion and fresh chillie and the basic food comprises of chicken preparation full of bones with virtually not much chicken flesh and some semi cooked roti partly fried with animal fat called ,parathas’.If people consume this sort of food for a while they will have stomach problem.I have eaten this type of food in respectable Punjabi households washed with homemade ‘lassi’ and had no stomach problem. But Dhaba foods are not agreeable with me.
